Electric, subway trains
Solution
A brand new 15.6km subway line that will create a high-frequency rapid transit service – with trains running as frequently as every 90 seconds. Trains powered entirely by electricity, travelling at speeds above 80kmph across 15 stations.
28,000 cars off the road
Impact
When complete, the Ontario line will move up to 30,000 people per hour in each direction, removing up to 28,000 cars from the city’s roads each day.
